Environmental Photographer of the Year Exhibition
Photographs dealing with some of the most important issues of our time will be on display from 30th May 2008 at the Apothecary Gallery, West London.
The Environmental Photographer of the Year 2007 Exhibition includes images that are traditional, resonant, contemporary, creative, subversive and beautiful. They examine issues such as poverty, climate change, human rights, leisure, culture, biodiversity, natural disasters and unsustainable population growth. Entries into the competition were judged on impact, creativity, composition, originality and technical abilities, by some of the most respected environmental photographers in the industry, including Gary Braasch, winner of the Ansel Adams Award for Conservation Photography, Anthony Epes and Ronnie Israel.
The Environmental Photographer of the Year 2007 Exhibition will run from 30th May until 18th July 2008 at the Apothecary Gallery, followed by a regional tour including the Mile End Park. It is part of CIWEM’s Arts and Environment initiative which is putting creativity into the heart of environmental thinking.
