STEMNET

Are you passionate about Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths (STEM)?

Then why not become a STEM Ambassador? The STEM Ambassadors Programme, nationally coordinated by STEMNET, currently enables over 20,000 Ambassadors to use their own knowledge and skills to inspire and encourage young people to consider STEM careers and qualifications. By giving a little of your time to being a STEM Ambassador you too can help excite the next generation by showing them that what they are learning in the classroom is relevant to their everyday lives, hobbies and future careers.

As a STEM Ambassador you could play an important role in exciting young people and supporting the SJWP by:

  • Attending science fairs and events where you can demonstrate STEM and promote the SJWP
  • Visiting schools to show how the STEM curriculum is relevant in the world of work
  • Inspiring students to find solutions to water and environment related issues
  • Encouraging students to come up with practical projects using a variety of STEM skills
  • Helping to judge the UK SJWP final and other STEM related competitions

To find out more or to register as a STEM Ambassador, please visit the STEMNET website
