Monday 24th April 2017 6:30pm - 9:00pm
A lecture arranged by Engineers Ireland Civil Division, Water & Environment Society and CIWEM.
The Cork Lower Harbour Main Drainage Project provides enhanced wastewater treatment through the development of a new wastewater treatment plant at Shanbally County Cork. As part of Irish Water’s Business Plan Transforming Water Services in Ireland to 2021, this project is important in terms of protecting the environment, facilitating economic development and providing for a growing population.
Operations commenced at the new treatment plant at the end of December 2016, providing full treatment of all wastewater from houses and businesses in Carrigaline, Crosshaven and Shanbally. Construction of the network is underway. This presentation will cover the planning and delivery of this important investment by Irish Water in the Cork region.
This event is free to attend – all are welcome. Attendance can be counted as one hour CPD
