ICE Energy from Waste 2013

21 Mar 13 - 21 Mar 13

On March 21, ICE Energy from Waste 2013 will address barriers to success within the industry and look at initiatives to ensure its future.

The conference will consider the continuing blockers relating to planning, financing and community opposition that are strangling progression. Topics covered include:

  • Turning household rubbish into jet fuel - a British Airways case study
  • An overview of UK policy including the new Industrial Emissions Directive
  • The workings of technologies including anaerobic digestion, gasification and pyrolysis
  • Sewage gas for injection into the grid - a Severn Trent case study
  • Sustainable skills in the EfW sector - what's lacking and how can government and industry respond to the shortage?
  • An update on financing projects from the Green Investment Bank
  • An international case study on the ultra-energy efficient Filborna Waste to Energy facility in Malmo, Sweden

The third event in the ICE's EfW series represents the best value for money, comprehensive one-day programme of the year and is the key meeting for the whole of the supply chain.
