Do you have proven management experience, a proven track record
in project implementation and strategic planning and a good
understanding of current relief and development issues?
We are seeking an experienced manager and credible Water and
Sanitation specialist to work as part of the senior management team
to provide technical advice for the design, implementation and
management of innovative WATSAN projects through our Disaster
Management Programmes.
You will be responsible for the assessment, management, design,
implementation, monitoring and evaluation of water and sanitation
projects.
More importantly, you will need to have a good understanding of
new and innovative approaches on WASH in the developing world.
In addition, you will have responsibility for managing the
programme's external advocacy activities regarding the WATSAN
sector within the NGO community, government departments and active
involvement in the country-wide WASH cluster.
You will have a degree or equivalent in a related sector and be
a credible advisor with proven leadership, negotiation, analytical
and representation skills with the ability to communicate
effectively with a divers group of people. Relevant overseas
experience and good cross-cultural awareness are essential,
combined with a genuine heard for the poor. A good working
level of English.
