Water Resource/Flooding Specialist – Nationwide

Water Resource/Flooding Specialist -
Nationwide
We would ideally like to source someone who lives close to
Derby, Swindon or Stirling in Scotland. However, we are happy
to consider other locations or also home working.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- To play a key role in growing our water resource and flooding
business through expanding the provision of flooding and water
resource services to existing clients and winning new clients
through tendering and business development;
- Expand our team in the water resource and flooding sector;
- Provide technical leadership in the delivery of services to
clients. These services consist of Flood Risk Assessments, Water
Management Resource Plans, Statutory Drought Plans,
abstraction licensing and investment planning.
- Contribute to the general development of the company.

Person specification
We are looking for a self-starter with commercial instincts who
will be able to develop a business area, manager a team and
contribute to the overall growth of the business. In addition
you will also need:
- A first degree in engineering, geology or environmental science
and a second degree in hydrogeology or hydrogeology
- Ideally chartered status
- Knowledge of UK water company Water Resource Management
Plans,
- Drought Plans, abstraction license applications and
maintenance.
- Practical expertise in hydrology and surface
water/groundwater modelling
- Liaison with Regulators and a good understanding of UK
regulatory frameworks
- Flood management/modelling expertise
Salary - £50k - £60k with a long term incentive
