CIWEM provides a forum for debate through a wide range of
publications for environmental professionals, government
representatives, academia, the media and the general public.
Our popular magazine, The
Environment, has a growing circulation of 12,000 and
covers subjects such as flood risk management, eco-fashion, water
wars, waste management, international restoration programmes and
environmental entrepreneurs. This is supplemented by our
e-newsletter that includes breaking news, job vacancies, event
listings, policy developments and Institutional news.
The Global Environment is an annual publication containing
forewords from some of the highest level people working for the
environment, ranging from the President of the Maldives to the
Archbishop of Canterbury, along with wide variety of articles and
photographic reportage.
Our peer-reviewed
Water and Environment Journal is the leading publication
in its field, dealing with worldwide environmental matters,
including water resources, the management of solid and hazardous
wastes, control of air pollution and environmental conservation.
Papers have investigated issues such as the use of water in
religious rites, the effects of pile driving on dolphins, oil
spills in Gaza and fog harvesting in Hong Kong. We also produce the
online-only
Journal of Flood Risk Management.
