Mike Robinson - Chairman

Mike has been a member of CIWEM for a number of years and having
previously held the role of Treasurer, he is now our
Branch Chairman. He has worked in Flood and Coastal Risk
Management for over ten years working with both the Environment
Agency and Local Authorities.
James Berryman - Junior Vice Chairman

James became a CIWEM member in 2008 and joined the Central
Southern Branch committee in 2011. His main areas of work have
revolved around surface water management, notably design and
modeling. Research projects have included a methodology for
calculating the hydraulic runoff from green roofs and 2D pluvial
flood modeling for 2007 floods which was referenced in the
ministerial Pitt Review.

Paul Hillman - Branch Rep on Committee
Paul is Environment Director, Ramboll
UK, part of the international Danish consultancy. Based in
Southampton, Paul has managed commissions in all parts of the UK
and several overseas, memorably in the Middle East and the
Falklands. Some of the most enjoyable commissions have been
associated with major infrastructure or development projects where
delivering a robust but balanced environmental assessment has been
both challenging and rewarding.
He places great store on the independent opinion and public
benefit that the work of charities like CIWEM provide to the
community and in 2012/13 Paul was the President of the Institution
following his Induction at Founders' Hall on 1st October

Andy Tagg - Honorary Branch Treasurer
Andy Tagg has been a member of CIWEM since 1987, and has been an
active member of the Branch Committee since 2002, holding the
office of both Treasurer and Chairman. He is currently the Manager
of the Floods Group at HR Wallingford, with interests in the flood
resilience of buildings and emergency management during floods.

members' rep. Sara currently works as a National Programme Manager

Anthony Guay - Corporate Member
Anthony has been a CIWEM member since 1996 and became a
Fellow in 2010 having joined the Central Southern Committee in
2008. He has over 20 years experience in the water industry mainly
associated with flooding, drainage and hydraulic modelling of
sewers and rivers, he also spent four years in the Flood Defence
Department of the Environment Agency undertaking a number of
roles. He has a wide experience of infrastructure design for
both new build and numerous flood alleviation

Helen Gavin - Corporate Member

Helen is a chartered Environmental Scientist with more than 13
years of experience in environmental management, water resources
and sustainability issues. She has been a
CIWEM member since 2003 and was chartered in 2011.
Helen joined the committee in 2014.
Since her PhD on water fluxes and wetland management, she has
worked for Atkins on projects that quantify the environmental
impact of human activities upon the water environment. She
has also recently specialized in sustainability issues relating to
carbon accounting and onshore renewable energy
developments. Helen is an Environment Agency Auditor for
the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) scheme, and have been an
Ofwat Auditor since 2008.
Helen also works at the School of Geography at the
University of Oxford, on a NERC funded project, MaRIUS: Managing
the Risks, Impacts and Uncertainties of drought and water

Adam is a committee member of CIWEM's Central and Southern
Branch, National Rivers & Coastal Group, and is a reviewer for
CIWEM's journals (W&E and JFRM). His experience has led
him to develop a particular interest in integrated catchment
management and the use of modelling tools in preparing solutions
that are effective, holistic, sustainable, and meet environmental
initiatives, such as the Water Framework Directive.

Alistair Clark - Non Corporate Member
Yong Wang - Non Corporate Member
Yong is a senior modeller and software developer, specialising
in flood inundation modelling, mapping and visualisation. He has
developed the OpenMI Interface for ISIS and ISIS 2D. He is lead
developer & senior support engineer for ISIS FAST and ISIS
Mapper. He has experience in developing map & location based
windows desktop and web applications for corporations and

Victoria Boorman - Corporate Member
Vicky has been a member of CIWEM for over ten years and became
a Chartered Environmentalist in 2012. Vicky has worked in
Flood and Coastal Risk Management, across surface water drainage
and planning and with operations teams managing flood risk assets
for over ten years. She has worked within the Environment
Agency and is now the lead on the delivery of the Flood and
Water Management act within a Local Authority.
