    • Andrew Robinson - Chair

      Royal HaskoningDHV, Peterborough

      Eddie has twelve years' experience successfully delivering flood risk management for the Environment Agency, Local Authorities and private clients that support sustainable development. In 2011 Eddie became a Chartered Scientist and Chartered Water and Environmental Manager. He is employed by Royal HaskoningDHV as a Senior Project Manager and a Market Manager. Some of his specialist skills include flood risk assessment and mapping, reservoir safety, research & development, and facilitating innovation. He has been on the committee since 2006 and was Technical Meetings Coordinator for four years. In May 2014 Eddie became the Chair of the CIWEM East Anglian Branch, and he was re-elected for a second year in May 2015. Eddie has a MSc in Water Management (Cranfield University) and BSc (Hons) in Geography (University of Leeds).

    • Colin Lee - Immediate Past Chair

      Atkins Peterborough

      Colin has worked in the Water Industry in East Anglia for 25 years, in a range of positions for Local Authorities, Anglian Water and the Environment Agency. He currently manages the East Anglia Wastewater Networks business for Atkins Water and Environment. Colin became Chairman of the Committee in May 2013 following a year as Senior Vice Chair. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer, a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager and a Fellow of CIWEM.

    • Katharine Hill - Senior Vice Chair

      Anglian Water Services, Cambridge

      Katharine works as a Hydrologist for Anglian Water's Water Resources Management Team, based in Cambridge. Prior to this she worked as a Network Modeller for Black & Veatch, who she joined as a graduate in September 2011. Katharine has an MSc in Hydrology & Water Resources Management from Imperial College London and a BSc in Environmental Sciences from Southampton University. She is a Graduate Member of CIWEM, working towards becoming a Chartered Environmentalist.

    • Ghislain Juvanon - Junior Vice Chair

      Anglian Water, Grafham, nr Huntingdon

      Ghislain is the Senior Works technician at Grafham WTW for Anglian Water starting as a Graduate Management Trainee in 2011. Prior to the water industry he worked for marine fisheries consultancy on various projects within the EU on sustainable fisheries and development projects. Ghislain has an MSc in Aquatic Resource Management from King's College, London and is currently a Graduate member of CIWEM, working towards becoming a Chartered Environmentalist.

    • Rick Butler - Professional Development Co-ordinator

      Anglian Water, Peterborough

      Rick has worked in the water industry for the past 18 years predominantly at Anglian Water.  He has worked in a range of Operations Management, Asset Management, and Programme Management roles whilst maintaining a strong commitment to enhancing Professional Development both within the company and externally across the industry. In 2012/13 he chaired the East Anglian region CIWEM committee.

    • Elisha Tafirenyika - Honorary Secretary

      Environment Agency, Peterborough

      Elisha has ten years' experience in Flood and Coastal Risk Management in the East of England with over 15 years experience in the built environment in Africa and the UK. Elisha currently works for the national capital programme management service (ncpms) - a dedicated project and programme management service of the Environment Agency as a Project Manager. Elisha has assembled, inspired and led highly performing integrated project teams to deliver high profile schemes to protect people and property from the devastating effects of flooding in the region whilst always seeking opportunities to enhance the environment.

      Elisha is a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager, Chartered Environmentalist and a full member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM). Elisha has a keen interest in project and programme management with stakeholder/community engagement, project finance controls, programming, business case development, and team leadership being some of the key areas he excels at. Elisha has recently become the Honorary Secretary of the East Anglian Branch. Elisha recently completed the Warwick MBA and holds a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering (Nottingham Trent University).

    • Iain Page - Honorary Treasurer

      Environment Agency, Peterborough

      Iain has worked for the Environment Agency since 1998 in a variety of water resources roles within Anglian Region and its Head Office. His most recent experience is in strategic water resources planning, working closely with water companies and the agricultural sector.  Iain is a Chartered Member of CIWEM.

    • Charlotte Nunns - New Members Coordinator

      Atkins, Peterborough

      Charlotte is a senior consultant at Atkins with 13 years' experience, specialising in flood risk assessment (FRA) and flood risk management planning policy and law.  Charlotte is a project manager for various projects ranging from small engineering schemes to large strategic schemes.

      Before joining Atkins Charlotte developed a Flood Risk business within a multidisciplinary consultancy firm.
      Previous experience also included working for the Environment Agency ensuring all types of Flood Risk Assessments complied with the necessary planning requirements, national policies and guidelines.

      Charlotte has been a chartered member of CIWEM and a Chartered Environmentalist since 2008. Currently the new members co-ordinator, feel free to contact her for information on how to get involved with the CIWEM East Anglian branch and CIWEM.

    • Paul Biggins - e-Communications

      Environment Agency, Peterborough

      Paul has worked in the water industry in East Anglia since 1988, predominantly in the field of water quality, and most recently with the Water Framework Directive. Paul has a long history of working on environmental data and visualisation projects, and has a keen interest in sharing information via mapping and GIS environments, particularly in the fields of agriculture, biodiversity and water quality. Paul is a CIWEM Environmental Partner, and since 2007 has helped maintain the Branch's web pages and e-communications.

      Anglian Water, Peterborough

      Peter was appointed Managing Director of Anglian Water Services in January 2010, having held the position of Chief Operating Officer since November 2004.  He previously held positions within the international division of the company, including Regional Director for Europe based in the Czech Republic and Senior Vice President of Operations based in the USA.  Peter is a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager, and holds an MBA from Warwick Business School.

      Essex & Suffolk Water, Chelmsford

      Tom is the Water Efficiency Manager at Essex & Suffolk Water (ESW). After attaining a BSc in Geographical Science at the University of Portsmouth, Tom joined ESW in 2005 and has since delivered a wide range of innovative industry-leading projects focusing on water efficiency and demand forecasting.

      Tom chairs the WaterUK Water Efficiency Network and has involvement in a number of industry-wide projects. Tom is a Member of CIWEM and is currently working towards becoming a Chartered Environmentalist.

    • Dr Aled Jones - Committee Member

      Anglia Ruskin University

      Dr Aled Jones FRSA FIMA FHEA is the inaugural Director of the Global Sustainability Institute (GSI) at Anglia Ruskin University. Dr Jones's research particularly focusses on the finance sector and government and how they will respond to the impacts of global resource trends and climate change. He was lead author on the seminal report on resource constraints to the Actuarial Profession in 2013 and is now building a global model to explore political fragility from resource crisis. He regularly consults on international climate finance, in particular on public-private partnerships, for organisations like the UK Government and the World Bank. He regularly presents on climate change issues to corporates and governments.
