The North West was one of the first areas to benefit from
the canal revolution. There is a new revolution happening now
with the formation of the Canal and Rivers Trust.

The Canal & River Trust is the new charity entrusted with
care and sustainable development of 2,000 miles of waterways in
England and Wales. Manchester and Pennine Waterway Partnership
supports the trust through leadership, guidance, planning and
partnership working to champion and enhance our waterways.
The first annual conference of the Manchester and Pennine
Waterway Partnership. This is your opportunity to comment on It's
About Time, Our Manifesto and help us design the future.
The conference will be held at The Lowry, Salford Quays, Monday
May 13th 2013, 2pm - 5:30pm and places are limited and admission by
