    Forensic Geology

    This lecture is organised by ICE Wales Cymru, The Geological Society South Wales Branch and the Chartered Institution of Water & Environmental Management (CIWEM), and is supported by ICE Wales Cymru Ground Engineering Group (GEG)

    BSc (Hons), PhD, CGeol, CSci, EurGeol, FGS, FGSA
    Forensic Geologist & Police Search Adviser and Chair, International Union of Geological Sciences, Initiative on Forensic Geology (IUGS-IFG)

    Forensic geologists may assist the police in some types of crimes to help determine what happened, where and when it occurred, or to help search for homicide graves or other objects buried in the ground.

    This is a free event and all are welcome. Light refreshments will be provided before the lecture begins at 6.00pm.

    Rainscape: Lunchtime event 5th March 2015

    The Institute of Water in Wales and Chartered Institute of Water And Environmental Management is hosting a joint Lunch and Learn event

    To learn more about Rainscape -the big project to reduce surface water in our sewers

    A great opportunity to raise your awareness of the work that Welsh Water, Natural Resources Wales and other government bodies are doing to improve our environment, minimise flooding and creating a sustainable future through working together.

    The innovative Rainscape project has helped improve the lives of local communities by stopping flooding by diverting rainwater from the sewerage system.

    Calling all with interest in the environment, sustainability, town planning, regulations, those willing to expand their knowledge of surface water management as well as members wishing to get environmental and engineering chartership or accreditations.
