    Urban Drainage Group Spring Conference

Smart Sewer Management to Deliver Outcomes

Midland Engineering Centre, Austin Court, Birmingham, B1 2NP

The Urban Drainage Group annual spring conference 2015 sees a return to Birmingham and the Midland Engineering Centre.  Feedback has confirmed that delegates appreciate a central location.  As many travel by train a slightly later start to the day's proceedings has been put in place.  For those requiring a more leisurely start to the day, there are a variety of hotels in the Broad Street and Brindley Place areas.

Registration and coffee will commence at 9am with the welcome presentation commencing at 9.30.  This year, in addition to an array of industry speakers, the UDG spring event will host a guest speaker as the awarding of the industry's WaPUG prize moves to the spring event.  The day will finish around 4pm.

The conference will focus on short and long term approaches to managing pollution and flooding related outcomes.  It hopes to demonstrate how a range of sewer investigation, management and analysis techniques will help deliver time based interventions to improve the service delivered to the customer in AMP6. The day will start with a review of monitoring approaches to optimise sewer management before focusing on delivering improvements through SuDS, external stakeholder collaboration and integrated strategies.

The conference will be of interest to those involved in all aspects of Urban Drainage as can be ascertained from the diversity of topics covered and the organisations that are providing speakers.
