Panels

CIWEM has six Technical Panels whose function is to provide expert, professional views for the Institution on developments in their respective subject areas. They are the technical cornerstone to CIWEM outputs such as such as conferences, consultation responses, policy statements and requests for advice from members and other contacts. The panels reflect the Institution's Royal Charter remit and enable the Policy and Technical Department to deliver technical information to a consistently high standard.

The technical panels are:

• Water Resources
• Water Supply & Quality
• Wastewater Management
• Air
• Waste Management
• Sustainability

The Panels normally meet three times a year at CIWEM's offices, although much of their work is done outside meetings, largely by e-mail contact. Alastair Chisholm, Policy Manager, Joanna Rowe, Policy Officer and Laura Grant, Policy Officer manage panels and support and direct their work.
