Notes

  1. These requirements will have been met at member stage.
  2. A professional review may be required for members in equivalent grades of other chartered organisations.
  3. Candidates for Associate or Affiliate Grade who have the appropriate academic qualifications, but insufficient experience, are admitted to the grade of Student as a 'holding' grade.
  4. Two years of which will normally be in structured training, either with the Institution, or under another formal scheme. If no Structured Training has been undertaken, the applicant must provide evidence of attainment of CIWEM's mandatory competencies with the initial application.
  5. Must have been a member of the Institution for a continuous period of at least five years.
  6. Non-honours degrees prior to 1991 are appropriate for corporate member status. Non-honours degrees post 1991 are appropriate for associate membership.
  7. A professional review may be required at the Council's discretion.
