To integrate CIWEM’s diverse policy work a series of Advocacy Plans are being developed for each of the following themes:

• Climate change
•  Sustainable land management
• Flood risk management
• Sustainable water and wastewater management

The Advocacy Plans will set out the policy goals the Institution wants to achieve and the strategies that will be pursued to achieve these goals. The plans will identify CIWEM’s existing activities and relationships, potential allies and the targets and agents of change which are likely to help achieve the goals.

The intended audiences include the media, international and national policy makers, CIWEM members and the public.  An edited version of the Advocacy Plans (suitable for external audiences) will be made available here once published.
