Technical Panels

CIWEM has seven Technical Panels whose function is to provide expert, professional views for the Institution on developments in their respective subject areas. They are the technical cornerstone to CIWEM outputs such as such as conferences, consultation responses, policy statements and requests for advice from members and other contacts. The Panels normally meet three times a year at CIWEM's offices, although much of their work is done outside meetings, largely by e-mail contact. Justin Taberham, Director of Policy and Alastair Chisholm, Policy Officer manage panels and support and direct their work.

We are always keen to consider new members of panels - if you are interested, please contact Justin Taberham.

There is also a 'virtual panel' on Pipeline Networks, which communicates by e-mail.
