Direct Environmental Business to Your Company
CIWEM’s online Professionals’ Directory celebrates first birthday
A year-old online resource is already generating a huge variety of business for its subscribers. Just one year in, diverse global environment sector projects passed on to CIWEM’s Professionals’ Directory members include desilting underground drainage box culverts in Hong Kong, manufacturing reclaimed water systems for a housing development in London and leading a team on an EU-funded project in Kosovo.
CIWEM’s Professionals’ Directory is an online service that directs environment sector business towards its members. Members of the directory pay an annual fee, dependent on the size of their business, and receive CIWEM Industry Affiliate membership. The service is free for people seeking an environment sector professional. It is easy to register for the directory through the directory page of CIWEM’s website: www.ciwem.com/directory.
Nick Reeves, Executive Director of CIWEM said:
“Much of the business directed towards members of our Professionals’ Directory is very unlikely to have been offered elsewhere – CIWEM’s position as a diverse global environment sector organisation leads many organisations and individuals to contact CIWEM seeking consultants, contractors or manufacturers. The potential contracts offered to directory members are normally projects where CIWEM was the first and only port of call in the UK.”
The Directory is supported by multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, technical design and project management firm Arup. Mark Fletcher, Associate Director of Arup, said:
"Arup has been pleased to support the CIWEM Professionals’ Directory since its inception. It provides an opportunity to broaden Arup's corporate exposure to the water and environmental business community and raise awareness of the wide range of consultancy services and expertise available from Arup and has also proved to be a valuable source of interesting work opportunities."
