Would you like to have your say on the Early Careers Group committee and support CIWEM members across the world?
We are really excited to announce we are forming a committee for CIWEM’s Early Careers Group and are looking for enthusiastic candidates to shape the development of the group. This is an excellent opportunity for growth and networking, whilst gaining valuable experience holding a position on a committee.
Our mission is to connect a diverse pool of water and environment professionals starting out in their careers, typically those who have been in the sector for under five years. The aims of the group are to facilitate a platform of collaboration for networking, career development and most importantly, building the global CIWEM community.
The committee will lead the strategic direction of the group, attending regular meetings, which will currently be held online. Candidates will be responsible for organising networking events, webinars and workshops and should be willing to contribute ideas that would be beneficial to CIWEM members at the early stages of their careers.
We would love for you to join us on this journey! If you are interested in getting involved, let us know here.
To apply for a position on the committee, you should:
- Be an active member of CIWEM (at any grade)
- Be an ambassador for CIWEM to champion our work and membership
- Have less than five years of experience working in the water and/or environment sector
- Be willing to engage actively with members of CIWEM and support the Chief Executive and the executive team
- Be willing to commit typically 1 day per month, including attendance at Early Careers Group Committee Meetings (we expect these to take place 4 times per year)
If you have any questions, please get in contact with Chloe Goode, Membership Services Officer at: chloe.goode@ciwem.org
The closing date for applications is Friday 29th January 2021.
