Journal of Flood Risk Management Board positions

Job Description

We are seeking to broaden and strengthen the editorial panel of Journal of Flood Risk Management through the appointment of new editors and associate editors. 

The journal covers all aspects of flood risk management and achieved an impact factor of 3.24 in 2018.  The aims and scope of the journal are set out here.

·         We are seeking two associate editors to join the editorial board, commencing January 2020. Our associate editors guide the peer review process and make recommendations based upon reviews. 

There is a small honorarium associated with the posts.  To apply for the role of associate editor, please send your CV to the editor-in-chief,, along with details of your particular areas of interest in flood risk management.  Please also contact the editor-in-chief if you wish to find out more about what the role entails before making an application.

·         We are also seeking multiple new members of our panel of editors, to join with immediate effect.  An important role of our editors is to provide peer reviews upon request.  These are voluntary positions. If you are interested, please email the journal administrator who can provide further information. 

As well as taking an active role in the peer review process, our editors act as champions for the journal within their community and networks.  They also provide valuable support and advice to the editor-in-chief and the owners of the journal on the direction and strategy for the journal.  Attendance at twice yearly editorial panel meetings (either in person or via remote link) is expected wherever possible.

We are encouraging applications from all over the world, as the work will be done remotely. Living in the UK is not a requirement.
