Environmental Lead in Marine, Water Discharges and Coastal Management

Full-time, Permanent

Barnwood, Gloucester

Protecting the environment is a huge priority for EDF Energy and part of that is managing our relationship with environmental regulators and ensuring our activities are compliant within legislation and associated environmental permits. Our marine/water discharges are an inevitable part of the nuclear energy process, so correct and ethical management of these is essential to us. Youll evaluate the practices, with a consideration for the effect our work has on nearby marine and coastal areas as well as setting the company standards for these technical areas. As part of a team of marine and coastal experts, youll need to build strong relationships across the business, with regulators and across the energy sector.

Along with a generous, negotiable salary, youll be playing a part in bringing cleaner energy to the UK. To us, Better Energy means sustainable and responsibly generated energy, and managing our effect on the nearby marine and coastal area is a huge step towards this and we need a committed and enthusiastic specialist leading the way.
