Your CIWEM Communication Preferences

CIWEM provides regular updates via email, social media, and our website on our upcoming events, professional development opportunities, industry and member news. Please find additional information below that can help you stay up-to-date with us.

Staying informed via email

To stay informed via email, please update your communication preferences in your MyCIWEM account, or create one if you do not already have one.

There are 3 pages in your account where you can set your preferences. You will find these tabs at the top of your 'MEMBER AREA'. These tabs are 'My Regions' 'My Special Interest Groups', and 'Marketing' (see image below.)


My Regions:
The regions available represent CIWEM's regional branch communities. Our branches periodically contact members with local events or updates. If you would like to stay in contact with your local branch, please tick the box for the appropriate region(s) and then ensure you click the 'Save' button in the lower right hand corner. Next, ensure that 'Branch Group Network or Panel Emails' is ticked in the 'Digital Preferences' section of 'Marketing', detailed below.


My Special Interest Groups:
The 4 groups available represent some of CIWEM's groups interested in specific topics in the WEM sector. These groups periodically contact members with subject matter news and events. If you would like to stay in contact with these groups, please tick the appropriate groups and then ensure you click the 'Save' button in the lower right hand corner. Next, ensure you have 'Branch Group Network or Panel Emails' selected in the 'Digital Preferences' section of 'Marketing', detailed below.

You can find information related to additional CIWEM communities on our website at ciwem.org/communities.

Marketing: There are multiple options to stay in touch with CIWEM via email in the section titled 'Digital Preferences'. Our usage of the lists is subject to change, so we recommend selecting all that are relevant to you. The main email lists currently in use are:

  • Training: Upcoming professional development opportunities
  • Enews: CIWEM news and updates and upcoming events
  • Branch Group Network or Panel Emails: Updates from CIWEM communities

You have the right to ask us to stop sending you marketing messages at any time by following the opt-out links on any marketing message sent to you or by contacting unsubscribe@ciwem.org.

Please note that you may still be contacted via email when necessary as part of CIWEM's relationship with you. To learn more about CIWEM's privacy policy or how to withdraw consent, please see our Privacy Policy.

Staying informed via social media

We also encourage you to get in touch with us and our community via social media. Follow our channels at the links below. Many of CIWEM's communities also have social media channels. Search for your favourite CIWEM communities on social media and get in touch with us anytime if we can be of any further help.
