Join us for CIWEM's A Fresh Water Future Conference 2026 on 09 - 10 November
A flagship gathering for water and environment professionals to connect, challenge and deliver change.
The water sector stands at a pivotal moment. Pressures from water scarcity, climate change, pollution, emerging contaminants and the nature crisis are intensifying. At the same time, ageing infrastructure, affordability concerns and declining public confidence are testing the system. The imperative to work differently has never been clearer - or more urgent.
In 2024 and 2025, A Fresh Water Future brought together cross-sector leaders to shape the reforms the sector needs. In 2026, the agenda is pivoting to implementation. With proposals from the Independent Water Commission, a Water White Paper, and new water regulator and Clean Water Bill on the horizon, the question is no longer what needs to change, but how we deliver it - at pace, at scale, and affordably.
Grounded in the evolving regulatory reforms, the conference will go beyond policy discussion and centre on the management challenges practitioners face day-to-day, and the good practices needed to restore water environments, strengthen climate resilience, and secure clean water for people, nature and the economy
