Event description

With an estimated 2 million pieces of litter are dropped in the UK everyday, the CIWEM South West branch are hosting this in-person collaborative event to play our part in protecting the inner-city environment in Bristol.

Join us in Temple Quay for a fun, feel-good litter-picking event that makes a real difference! Not only will you help create cleaner, safer streets for our community to enjoy, you’ll also help boost local wildlife by keeping harmful waste out of their habitats. We will be joined by Bristol Waste who will be providing a walking route and litter picking equipment.

This event is also a great opportunity to encourage engagement and easy, open communication among South West CIWEM members. It’s the perfect setting to catch up with familiar faces, meet new ones, and spark conversations about anything from professional development and upcoming opportunities to the latest fixture or weekend plans. The relaxed, hands-on atmosphere makes networking feel natural rather than formal, helping everyone connect on shared interests while doing something genuinely positive for the community. It’s a simple, enjoyable way to strengthen regional links and improve Bristol’s environment at the same time.

We will all meet at 11:30 outside the Starbucks at Temple Quay in Bristol and the litter pick should finish at 13:00.
