The CIWEM Central Southern Branch Annual Seminar for 2022 explores
the topics of air, water and soil quality. Over three lunchtime sessions, a diverse
variety of panellists will give their perspectives on the key challenges and
opportunities facing these three critical and intrinsically linked aspects of our
environment.
All three 1-hour sessions will comprise of short presentations from a range of speakers followed by a facilitated discussion of key issues by an industry expert.

Session 1 will address air quality and look at the key issues at a national level before exploring case studies of particular issues and solutions.

Session 2 will consider water quality and look at how catchment-based solutions are delivering improved water quality outcomes and wider environmental benefits, as well as exploring the issue of plastic pollution in marine environments and lessons learned on recent projects.

Session 3 will address soil quality and look at restoration of land using soil from waste in addition to exploring the bioresources industry and its interface to the agriculture sector.
