About the venue and getting there
The event will take place at The Greyhound, 75-76 Friar Gate, Derby DE1 1FN. The venue is 30-minutes’ walk from Derby railway station and several bus routes run near the venue.
Travelling to the venue
As part of CIWEM’s commitment to tackling the climate and ecological emergency we would encourage delegates to use the most environmentally sustainable means of transport possible.
By Train
Derby railway station is the nearest mainline railway station to The Greyhound and is in Railway Terrace, 2RU DE1 2RU. East Midlands, CrossCountry and Northern trains all go to Derby railway station for all those coming from outside the city.
By Bus | Coach | Tram
The no. 8, X38, SWIFT, U1 and U2 bus routes run near The Greyhound. Derby bus station off Morledge, DE1 2AW is four-minutes’ bus journey from the venue and 19-minutes’ walk away.
By foot | cycle
The Greyhound is 31-minutes’ and 19-minutes’ walk from Derby railway station and coach station respectively and eight or five minutes’ cycle ride.
By car
If you are coming by car or taxi, please consider sharing the journey with others to reduce your environmental footprint.
