Event description 

We are delighted to confirm that the CIWEM Northern Ireland branch Annual Dinner 2024 will be taking place at the Merchant Hotel in Belfast on Friday 17 May 2024.

The evening will commence with a drinks reception at 6:30pm.

Throughout the evening Trevor Price Magician will keep guests entertained with some mix and mingle magic.

After dinner, it will be time for a cabaret performance for the whole room to involve comedy, audience participation and amazing magic and illusion.

The dress code is Cocktail Dress Attire.

This event is open to members and non-members of CIWEM.

About the venue and getting there

The event will take place at The Merchant Hotel, 16 Skipper Street, Belfast BT1 2DZ. The venue is only 12 minutes’ walk from Lanyon Place Train Station, 15 minutes’ walk from Great Victoria Street and several bus routes run near the venue.

Travelling to the venue

By Train | Bus

Lanyon Place Train Station is the nearest mainline railway station to The Merchant Hotel. It is at East Bridge St, Belfast BT1 3NR in the Laganside area of central Belfast. NI trains go to Lanyon Place for this coming from outside Belfast.

By Bus | Coach

The Europa Bus Centre is locate at Europa Business Centre, 10 Glengall St, Belfast BT12 5AH. It is within a 16 minute’ walk of the Merchant Hotel.

By foot

The Merchant Hotel is around 10 minutes’ walk from Belfast City Hall.

By car

If you are coming by car, please consider sharing the journey with others to reduce your environmental footprint. The hotel is easily accessed by car and is only 1km from the junction of the M2, M3 and A12.


As this is an in-person event, please remain vigilant to control the spread of COVID-19 and stay safe.
