Event description 

Join the CIWEM Northern Ireland branch for the annual Stanton Cup Golf outing at Warrenpoint Golf Club followed by an evening celebratory meal.

The Competition will be scored using Dr Frank Stableford’s scoring system. The first tee has been booked from 12:00 BST and play may commence at this tee only where a starting sheet will be in operation.

Tee times will be made up of 20 x fourballs.

There will be a dinner after the golf, where the prizes will be awarded. Bookings for the meal will be taken the day of the event.

Each fourball entry ticket includes:

• Green fees.
• Tea and scones on arrival.
• Post-round two course meal.
• Prizes.

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

• CIWEM winner.
• CIWEM runner up.
• Non-CIWEM winner.
• Non-CIWEM runner up.
• First place team.
• Runner up team.
• Two closest to the PIN.
• Two longest drives.

Both CIWEM members and non-members are welcome to attend. Places are limited, so book now before bookings close on Monday 28 April 2025.

This event is open to members and non-members of CIWEM.

Please note there is limited capacity at this event. Bookings must be made through 'My CIWEM' using the above booking link. Non-members who have not registered for the MyCIWEM system can create an account on the booking page in order to reserve their place.

Getting there

The event will take place at Warrenpoint Golf Club, Lower Dromore Road, Newry, County Down BT34 3LN. Established in 1893, Warrenpoint Golf Club is an 18-Hole Parkland Course, situated just six miles from Newry City, and is set in part of the Hall Estate.

The course itself measures 6173 yards in length, located in an area renowned for its natural beauty, surrounded by the Mourne Mountains on one side and Carlingford Lough on the other, and is ranked as one of the top parkland courses in Northern Ireland.

Travelling to the venue

As part of CIWEM’s commitment to tackling the climate and ecological emergency we would encourage delegates to use the most environmentally sustainable means of transport possible.

By bus

There are buses which go near the golf course which take about an hour from Newry City Centre.

By car

If you are coming by car, please consider sharing the journey with others to reduce your environmental footprint.

As this is an in-person event, please remain vigilant to control the spread of COVID-19 and stay safe.
