Call for papers for the CIWEM Northern Ireland new members' papers competition 2021

CIWEM Northern Ireland is now inviting entries to the 2021 CIWEM Northern Ireland region new members paper competition. This is open to both new student and graduate level members, and those who could become future CIWEM members and who have less than five years professional experience.

To enter, participants must register intent by Monday 1 February 2021, and then submit a written paper by Friday 19 February 2021. These will be judged by a panel of three senior members, who will shortlist four papers for presentation at a special evening meeting, to be held on Tuesday 16 March 2021 via zoom.

Papers should be based on the CIWEM Northern Ireland branch chair’s theme for this year’s technical programme "water and environment, adapting to change". Papers do not need to be project based as any aspect of this theme can be presented and is open to the interpretation of the entrant.

The competition offers entrants the opportunity to gain valuable experience publishing and presenting a paper.

There is a prize for winning of £250 and all entrants will be recommended for 14 hours CPD.

This event is open to members and non-members of CIWEM to attend on the evening.

This webinar will be hosted on the Zoom platform and will be recorded. Please note that registrations will close 24 hours before the event starts. If you have not registered before that time, unfortunately we cannot add you to the event. You will receive an email with joining instructions after you have successfully registered for the webinar and the registration has been approved by our team.
