Event description

The CIWEM Northern Ireland branch invites you to their annual new members’ paper competition to watch the judging and support the selected finalists.

The event provides an opportunity for new and prospective members of CIWEM to present papers based on the CIWEM Northern Ireland branch’s general theme of the year, of "Agriculture and Environment: Making the Connection".

Presentations will be fifteen minutes long with five minutes of question time from the three judges.

Finalists to be announced in early March.

CIWEM members and non-members welcome to attend the presentation final evening.

This event is open to members and non-members of CIWEM.

Please note there is limited capacity at this event. Bookings must be made through 'My CIWEM' using the above booking link. Non-members who have not registered for the MyCIWEM system can create an account on the booking page in order to reserve their place.

Please note that registrations close at 9:00am, two working days before the event is to take place. If you have not registered by then, unfortunately we cannot add you to the event.

About the venue and getting there

The event will take place at WSP Offices, 1 Lanyon Place, Belfast, County Antrim BT1 3LG. The venue is only seven minutes’ walk from Belfast Lanyon Place railway station and several buses run near the WSP offices from the Europa Buscentre in Glengall Street.

By Train

The nearest railway station to the WSP offices is Belfast Lanyon Place, East Bridge Street, Belfast BT1 3NR.

By Bus | Coach

Europa Buscentre, Europa Business Centre, 10 Glengall Street, Belfast BT12 5AH is 12 – 19 minutes’ by bus from the WSP offices in Lanyon Place with buses 1, 2 and 3 going from nearby Grand Central bus stop and buses 3b, 3c, 3h, 4e, 5c, 6a and 6d going from Donegall Square West bus stop to Lanyon Place. In addition, the G1 bus goes from Wellington Place to Lanyon Place Station.

By car
