Join the CIWEM South Western branch for a networking event aimed at those who are new or who would like to join to CIWEM.
Our first speaker is Barbara Orth, Senior Membership and Professional Standards Executive at CIWEM, who will tell us about CIWEM and the process involved in gaining Chartership.
Then we will hear from Andy Mears, permitting manager at Wessex Water who will talk about frequently spilled overflows and the challenges and opportunities water companies are facing.
Following these presentations there will be an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the issues raised by Andy’s talk and to talk to Barbara about CIWEM membership.
We will provide meat and vegan curries and give opportunities for people to meet and chat. Drinks will be provided, but at additional cost.

Barbara Orth is Senior Membership and Professional Standards Executive at CIWEM managing CIWEM's Chartered, Fellow and engineering applicants and members. She coordinates and supports the work and operation of CIWEM's Professional Standards Committee, Engineering Standards Committee and Qualifications Panel while also promoting the routes to professional registration to existing non-registrants and non-members through CIWEM's digital channels.
