24 February 2021
This webinar will take place on the Hopin platform, which will be a CIWEM first! The platform is designed to feel like an in-person event — not only will delegates be able to interact with speakers through the live Q&A sessions but with fellow delegates too.
As a delegate you will be able to share your views through the chat, take part in speed-networking and exchange contact information with fellow delegates. CCW, CIWEM and WRC plc will also have a dedicated exhibition area where you will be able to talk to schedule meetings with the team, read publications and participate in live demonstrations. We hope you will enjoy this new platform but most importantly, we hope you enjoy the content.
2021 will be a critical year for adaptation in the UK. Not only will COP26 be taking place but the Climate Change Committee will be publishing their biennial Progress Report and Evidence report which will inform the UK Government’s third Climate Change Risk Assessment.
Defra have also set a deadline of December 2021 for reporting organisations to submit their reports under the third round of the climate change adaptation reporting power. These reports are an important way of assessing how prepared organisations are to our changing climate, but inconsistencies in reports across organisations and across sectors in the previous rounds means that it’s been difficult to understand what actions are being taken and where progress is lacking.
This webinar will offer the opportunity to hear from experts from a wide range of sectors on how you can get the most out of the reporting process for your organisation. Whether you’re an existing reporter, considering becoming one or just curious this webinar is for you.Book now
