In this talk we will present a summary of the method and examples of Deployable Output assessments for Wessex Water’s groundwater sources (boreholes, springs).
Deployable Output is the amount of water that is available from a source during a defined scenario, e.g. a drought. Deployable Output assessments are used in the supply-demand balance calculations for water companies’ Water Resource Management Plans.
We aim to make the talk accessible to hydrogeologists and non-hydrogeologists alike, and we hope to promote discussion around the data requirements and assessment thought process.
