Event description

Welcome to the Enabling Water Smart Communities Spring 2026 Webinar Series. This webinar series will offer a chance to take a closer look at some of the recent projects and outputs from the Enabling Water Smart Communities (EWSC) project.

Join us for the wrap‑up webinar of EWSC’s Designing Low Demand Networks project, which has focused on developing future‑proof design criteria for drinking water and sewer systems in new, water‑efficient housing developments.

During the webinar, we will summarise what the project has involved and share the key findings, before setting out practical recommendations and guidance to support utilities, developers and planners in designing systems that remain robust, efficient and fit for the future as water demand continues to change.

The session will conclude with reflections on how these insights can inform future policy, standards and design practice for low‑demand developments.
