Hosted by the CIWEM West Midlands branch and the CIWEM East Midlands branch

The CIWEM West Midlands and East Midlands branches will be holding their annual joint Dr Jenkins best technical paper competition.

The event provides an opportunity for new and prospective members of CIWEM to present papers on any topic in the field of water and environmental management.

This event will be in person. A buffet will be available, as well as plenty of opportunities to network with friends and colleagues during the event.

We welcome CIWEM members and non-members to support the finalists.

CIWEM West Midlands branch and CIWEM East Midlands branch awards

The CIWEM West Midlands branch and CIWEM East Midlands branch are holding their joint annual Dr Jenkins Competition for new and prospective members of CIWEM to present papers on any topic in the field of water and environmental management.

If you are new to the water or environmental management sector and want to showcase your work, the competition offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience publishing and presenting a paper.

The competition is open to all, but preference will be given to those with limited experience in presenting or publishing papers.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

CIWEM Members are asked to seek out, encourage and sponsor potential authors.

Candidates should notify their interest as soon as possible and submit their abstracts by Friday 31 July 2026.

This event is open to members and non-members of CIWEM.

Please note there is limited capacity at this event. Bookings must be made through 'My CIWEM' using the above booking link. Non-members who have not registered for the MyCIWEM system can create an account on the booking page in order to reserve their place.

Please note that registrations close at 9:00am, two working days before the event is to take place. If you have not registered by then, unfortunately we cannot add you to the event.
