Join the CIWEM South Eastern branch for a webinar focusing on perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, (PFAS), microplastics and pharmaceuticals. Tune into the unravelling of their environmental challenges, human impact, detection, and removal.
The speakers will provide an overview on each of the emerging contaminants and discuss sustainable approaches to combat their worldwide contamination.

Dylan Powell is a Graduate Civil Engineer at Binnies and the 2023 NCE Graduate of the Year. Dylan entered the emerging contaminants space through his MEng research investigating microplastic removal in the wastewater treatment process.
Anna Palfrey
Anna Palfrey is an Environmental Scientist at Binnies, with a strong interest in emerging contaminants following her MSc in Environmental Consultancy looking at the risk assessment of pharmaceuticals in the environment.
Navdip Kaur
Navdip Kaur is a Graduate Civil Engineer at Binnies. Navdip first started looking at emerging contaminants whilst researching for her MSc project, which focused on the breakdown behaviour and release of organic components by plastics in the environment.
This event is open to members and non-members of CIWEM.
This webinar will be hosted on the Zoom platform and will be recorded. Please note that registrations will close 24 hours before the event starts.
