Hosted by the CIWEM Rivers & Coastal Group and the CIWEM Central Southern branch
Event description
The Flood Hydrology Improvements Programme (FHIP) is a £7m, 6-year programme delivering long-term step change to the methods, data, and ways of working in UK operational flood hydrology. It has been developed as the Environment Agency’s principal response to the community-developed 25-year UK Flood Hydrology Roadmap.
In this webinar, there will be a brief introduction to FHIP, covering its history and purpose, as well as summarising the ongoing and planned projects and the anticipated outcomes.
Whilst all the FHIP projects have been developed to primarily deliver improvements for the Environment Agency, they will also support the efforts of the UK Flood Hydrology Roadmap Board and the wider hydrological community. Throughout this presentation will be opportunities to feedback and calls to action to get involved.
Part of the CIWEM Flood Resilience series.
