Event description

This joint CIWEM and Institute of Water technical talk will showcase the environmental and water engineering contributions to Belfast Grand Central Station, the largest integrated transport facility in Ireland and the largest-ever investment in public transport in Northern Ireland.

The session will highlight the multidisciplinary approach taken by Arup in delivering the project, with a focus on environmental assessments, sustainable design, and integration with wider urban regeneration goals. Attendees will hear how collaboration within the Translink project delivery team and other stakeholders shaped the development of the station, and how engineering excellence supported long-term operational resilience and economic growth.
