Hosted by Arcadis, the CIWEM Rivers & Coastal Group and the CIWEM Welsh branch

This lunchtime webinar is produced in collaboration with the CIWEM Rivers & Coastal group, the CIWEM Welsh Branch, and Arcadis. The panelists will discuss the global engineering response to the 2023 breach of the Kakhovka Dam in Ukraine.

Delegates can expect:

• A look at a real-time hydrodynamic modelling approach using the Tygron platform
• Reflections on the incident in Ukraine, the global engineering response, and an update on the current situation on the ground
• A discussion on the applications & implications to future disaster response initiatives

The discussion will begin with presentations by Piet Dircke, Bas Agerbeek, and Professor Roger Falconer and open into a moderated panel discussion including additional perspectives from insurance and engineering industries. The discussion will also be followed by audience Q&A.
