Event description

The CIWEM North Western & North Wales branch is delighted to be partnering with AECOM to host the Glyn Ellis Prize Early Career Paper Competition this year.

This competition challenges early career professionals in our region to submit a paper on a subject related to water or the environment, finalists will present their work to a specially selected group of judges made up of CIWEM members and industry leaders.

Prizes will be awarded at the end of the evening to the best entries.

Refreshments will be provided, though we ask attendees to notify us in advance of any special access needs or dietary requirements.

About the venue and getting there

The event will take place at AECOM’s Manchester offices, 100 Embankment, Cathedral Approach, Salford M3 7FB. The venue is only 5 minutes’ walk from Manchester, Victoria railway station and several bus routes run near the venue.

Travelling to the venue

By Train

Manchester Victoria railway station is the nearest mainline railway station to AECOM’s offices and is at Station Approach, Todd Street, Manchester M3 1WY. Northern and TransPennine Express trains run through Manchester Victoria railway station for all those coming from outside the city.

By Bus | Coach

The no. X43 Witchway and X41 Red Express bus routes run from the Chorlton Street coach station, which run near the AECOM offices.

By foot | cycle

The AECOM offices are only 5 and 13 minutes’ walk from Manchester Victoria railway station and Chorlton Street coach station respectively and 2 and 5 minutes’ cycle ride.

By car

If you are coming by car, please consider sharing the journey with others to reduce your environmental footprint.
