The CIWEM Northern Ireland branch is thrilled to announce that our hugely popular social event to celebrate the New Year, the annual CIWEM Northern Ireland Question of Knowledge Quiz will be taking place again in 2026!

Kick off your January in style by joining us at Ten Square, Belfast to reconnect with colleagues and friends while putting your general knowledge to the test.

Following the success of last year’s digital speed quiz, we’re keeping the same interactive format. Each team will have their own tablet at the table to tackle picture rounds, multiple-choice questions, and exciting new challenges such as Fastest Finger First!

The format will be similar to our previous quizzes, including:

• Exciting quiz-related prizes up for grabs on the night.
• Bar table service for your convenience.
• Raffle with fantastic prizes.
• Teams of up to 6 players – £140 per team (excluding VAT). Bookings are per table.
• Winning team receives the prestigious CIWEM (Northern Ireland branch) Annual Quiz Shield, engraved with team name

Booking and joining information

This event is open to members and non-members of CIWEM.

Please note that there is a maximum of six people per team, so one person from each team should register here.

We will need the person booking the ticket for each team to complete the online survey before the event, so we can make arrangements to accommodate delegates' specific dietary or access needs.

Please note there is limited capacity at this event. Bookings must be made through 'My CIWEM' using the above booking link. Non-members who have not registered for the MyCIWEM system can create an account on the booking page in order to reserve their place.

Please note that registrations close at 09:00, two working days before the event is to take place. If you have not registered by then, unfortunately we cannot add you to the event.

About the venue and getting there

The event will take place at Ten Square Hotel, 10 Donegall Square South, BT1 5JD. The venue is only a few minutes walk from the Belfast Central railway station and several bus routes run near the venue.

Travelling to the venue

As part of CIWEM’s commitment to tackling the climate and ecological emergency we encourage delegates to use the most environmentally sustainable means of transport possible.

By Train

Belfast Central railway station is the nearest mainline railway station to Ten Square Hotel.

By Bus | Coach

Buses run to City Hall opposite the venue.

By foot | cycle

Ten Square Hotel is only a nine-minute walk from Belfast Central railway station and Europa Centre bus station and a two-minute cycle ride.

By car

If you are coming by car, please consider sharing the journey with others to reduce your environmental footprint.

As this is an in-person event, please remain vigilant to control the spread of COVID-19 and stay safe. We request that if you think you might have contracted COVID or have recently had the disease, that you do not attend the event.
