According to DEFRA there are 36 species of alien plant and 30 species of alien animal of concern in the UK. The more common of which can usually be found along or in riverine environments.
This webinar will provide an overview of some of the more common riverine invasive non-native species, providing background on the legal status, ecology and challenges associated with their control whilst exploring the opportunities surrounding Biodiversity Net Gain.

Simon Knott is the director of Naturally Compliant, an environmental consultancy focussed on providing resource to the construction sector. Simon has worked on several large scale linear projects gaining real word experience of Invasive Non Native Species management in the riverine environment.
