Severn Trent was awarded an additional £565m in June 2021 to support the ‘Green Recovery’ – a Number 10 led, cross-sector initiative to accelerate progress on sustainable investment and to create a much needed economic boost in the UK regions. Severn Trent was one of only five water companies to receive this additional funding and received 75% of the funding provided overall.
This ambitious programme has six workstreams of which three are the delivery of capital works to improve water and river quality. This webinar will focus on the capital projects reviewing what is being delivered and how this is being done.

Neil Pullen
Neil Pullen is head of Capital Design at Severn Trent and has over 30 years’ experience in the utilities sector, covering energy, water and metering and has worked across client-side organisations, large contracting firms and as a consultant. He joined Severn Trent in June 2021 and supported the rapid mobilisation of the Green Recovery Programme in Capital Delivery.
A chartered engineer and Fellow of IMechE, Neil is always keen to stress that he is far from an expert in clean or waste water design but knows enough first principles to ask simple but difficult questions.
