Event description

There is an industry wide recognition that a step change in approach is required to address the ever increasing challenges and demands being placed on drainage and wastewater systems; including mitigation of flooding, minimising pollution and supporting a healthy environment, climate change and providing system capacity to facilitate economic growth and development. Northern Ireland Water’s Draft Strategy 2021 -2046 and PC21 Business Plan set out these challenges and following a successful determination has initiated key processes that will support the effective management of Northern Ireland’s wastewater infrastructure through PC21 and into subsequent price control periods.

This webinar will give an overview of Northern Ireland Water’s new wastewater strategy team, discuss the short and long term challenges faced within wastewater and how the implementation of key programmes will support the long term effective management of drainage and wastewater through collaborative working and integrated sustainable solutions.
