Event description

Thanks to Severn Trent Water, the West Midlands Branch has arranged another fascinating trip to an Operational Site.

Trimpley Water Treatment Works (WTW) is one of several strategic water treatment plants owned and operated by Severn Trent in the Midlands of England. Raw water is abstracted from the nearby River Severn, held in a nearby bank side storage reservoir, treated to a high standard and pumped to the infrastructure networks in the Worcestershire and Shropshire regions.

This in-person tour will include an introductory presentation on the innovative treatment processes involved and a guided tour of the plant. The tour will be of particular interest to young members wanting to learn more about the drinking water processes and more experienced members seeking to widen their knowledge about Severn Trent’s range of treatment plants and the processes involved.

Part of the CIWEM Wastewater & Biosolids series.
