CIWEM Tyne and Humber Branch would like to invite you to an evening talk on water quality issues in the Ganges.
It is clear that in order to understand water quality issues in the Ganges, the catchment must be viewed in its entirety, rather than at isolated points. This also is true when seeking to address the issues. More specifically, it is recommended that urban areas are prioritised for implementing sanitation solutions and that a diverse array of solutions (centralised, onsite, off-grid and decentralised) should be utilised rather than depending on a single approach. This type of information is of great importance at a strategic or policy guidance level.
This lecture will show how this work provides crucial information for policy-makers and practitioners who work on water quality issues and WASH solutions.
