We are looking for an experienced and innovative Head of Events to play a vital role in our growing team at an exciting time in its development. As Head of Events you will be responsible for the strategic development and substantial growth of the events department and the delivery of a wide portfolio of UK and international thought leading events, providing an industry recognised forum for debate and sector networking, supporting CIWEM in working towards a safer, sustainable world, enabled by a global community of water and environmental professionals dedicated to working for the public benefit.

The post holder will manage both the detail in event logistics as well as work with senior industry, government and policy leaders to design and deliver sector leading conference programmes, using their experience and understanding of the key financial and commercial drivers in event production to deliver a successful events programme for the Institution.
CIWEM is looking for a strategic and articulate individual with a proven track record in events delivery and/or project management. The successful candidate will have management and team-working experience and the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at different levels. Your initiative and drive will be integral to your success in the role. The post holder will be a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) of CIWEM and contribute to a dynamic, supportive environment sharing knowledge and experience across the team to enhance all aspects of CIWEM’s business.

The post is a full-time, permanent role. Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday (inclusive). Some flexibility in working hours and location is permitted subject to prior agreement with your line manager and in accordance with CIWEM’s wider policies. The post holder may be required to work occasional extra hours according to the operational needs of the Institution.
The position is based at CIWEM’s Office at 106-109 Saffron Hill, London EC1N 8QS. Remote working is appropriate to this role in accordance with CIWEM’s remote working policy.
