The role of the Qualifications Panel members involves considering non-typical qualifications presented by engineering applicants (individual route applicants for engineering registrations) and recommending routes to professional review for them, in terms of meeting a required educational base.
Panel members must be comfortable assessing the content of degree programmes against the output standards for engineering programmes agreed between the Engineering Council and the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (please find further information here)
A fundamental principle of CIWEM’s culture is that we are accessible to all candidates. We are looking for a diverse range of driven candidates, who will bring a wide range of skills, thinking and perspectives to the Panel.
Panel members serve on a voluntary basis but are reimbursed out of pocket expenses for attending meetings and for undertaking certain activities on behalf of the Institution.
