I have graduated or finished my apprenticeship: If you have completed your studies, it's time to apply for Graduate or Environmental Partner membership. Take a look at the eligibility criteria for each grade and submit your online application form. Please note application fees will apply.

Been away for more than three years? You'll need to resubmit your Graduate application in your MyCIWEM account and pay the application fee.

Not sure if Graduate is still right? If you have now been working in the sector for two years, you might be ready to apply for MCIWEM and take the next step in your professional journey.

Been away for more than three years? You'll need to resubmit your Environmental Partner application in your MyCIWEM account and pay the application fee.

Been away for more than three years? You'll need to resubmit your TechCIWEM application in your MyCIWEM account and pay the application fee. Please note you will need to submit updated sponsor letters and ensure your application evidence meets the TechCIWEM competences.

Not sure if MCIWEM is still right? After working in the sector for around five years you might be ready to apply for Chartership (C.WEM), review the C.WEM competences to see if you are eligible.

External Registrations: If you also held registration with the Engineering Council (CEng, IEng or EngTech), the Science Council (CSci) or the Society for the Environment (REnvP or CEnv) you can reinstate your registrations at the same time. After three years, you will also need to resubmit your application for these registrations.

You will also need to pay your annual subscription fee.
