The Air Panel assists with a number of outputs including events, consultation responses, policy statements, technical advice, representation and publications. The scope of the Air panel includes; air pollution sources (e.g. traffic, industry, energy), climate change, health and environment, impacts, management and policy, local authority air quality management, modelling systems / tools for assessment, monitoring, odour, public attitudes to / perception of air pollution, and underlying science and processes e.g. dispersion, meteorology, atmospheric chemistry and physics.
CIWEM is a partner in the Healthy Air Campaign, a coalition of NGOs led by ClientEarth including Asthma UK, the Campaign for Better Transport, British Heart Foundation, Clean Air in London, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, Environmental Protection UK, Friends of the Earth, Living Streets, Sustrans and the London Sustainability Exchange. CIWEM believes the Healthy Air Campaign has an important role in bringing the issue to the attention of the public, the media, and politicians. CIWEM is also an affiliate in the Clean Air Alliance to develop a broad partnership to accelerate progress towards clean and healthy air.
