Our Wastewater and Biosolids Network provides a focal point within CIWEM for expertise in the field of wastewater management and is a forum for valuable discussion, debate, knowledge sharing and advice. Members of the Network are drawn from government, regulators, water companies, consultants, research organisations and others. At present, the Network meets three times annually.
Wastewater management is defined as the collection (excluding the fabric of the infrastructure) and treatment of municipal and industrial waste water, and the treatment and disposal or use of the products of these processes, in accordance with environmental standards. The Network assists with a number of outputs including events, consultation responses, policy statements, technical advice, representation and publications. Its Steering Group meets three times a year and members are in frequent contact via e-mail:
